UNBOUND OBJECTS: NOTES ON THE EXHIBITION THEORIMATA 2 - ON HISTORY: EMST NATIONAL MUSEUM FOR CONTEMPORARY ART ATHENS
By Andrew Hazewinkel
This text is a critical response to a selection of works presented in the exhibition Theorimata 2 - On History presented at EMST the National Museum of Contemporary Art Athens. The idea that knowledge of the past can be deployed as a tool for interpreting the present, and function as a future-shaping force, as mentioned in Thucydides’ first book of the Peloponnesian War, resonated throughout.
