The Sisters (Sibyls of Metamorphosis) 2020 - 2022
Two unique state, selectively mirror-polished bronze figures, bismuth patina, travertine bases.
Permanently installed in the public access garden at 101 Collins Street Melbourne
Individual figures 234 x 88 x 88 cm
Commissioned as a part of the 2020 curatorial revisioning of one of Melbourne’s most iconic buildings, these two large, hybrid bronze figures are part caryatid and part reimagined, misaligned stacks of classical column barrel-drums. Situated within an high walled, open-air, enclosed garden, they bridge the soft body and steel and glass architecture, mixing sensorial and constructed worlds.
