DARKLIGHT

 2011

A COLLABORATIVE exhibition Project
 WITH ROSSLYND PIGGOTT

SUTTON GALLERY PROJECT SPACE
 MELBOURNE

Darklight, the first collaborative undertaking between Andrew Hazewinkel and Rosslynd Piggott drew together shared interests in geographical parallels, material resonance, atmospheric light conditions and literary references ranging from  Lafcardio Hearn to Pliny the Elder.

Darklight comprised new and old works revealing mutual material interests and a shared awareness of the psychological currents running beneath the surfaces of individual works. Darklight, included a new collaborative work, Chamber 2011; bringing together Hazewinkel's 16mm film Eternal Current 2008 with Piggott's 1999-2000 work Tremor.
